GAMES AND FUNNY ACTIVITIES
1) Introduce "Touch your/his/her..." Then make a circle and, for example, ask one student to TOUCH the HEAD of the one next to him/her; then ask this student to TOUCH the KNEE of another student... etc etc. It's a kind of TOUCHING TRAIN and they love it!
2) Draw a monster following instructions. Then describe it.
3) Write all the parts of the body on different pieces of paper. Mention one and ask one student to stick it ON YOU! Funny, isn't it?
4) You can show just a bit of a flashcard with a part of the body and they have to guess what it is.
CLASSROOM DECORATION
Hi people!
When teaching young learners, it's important to create a good atmosphere and visual helpers. The classroom should welcome every student that's why teachers should include posters on the walls, reminders and everything that may catch the kids. Being creative is the key... You can even think of a theme and decorate the classroom according to that theme, for example: jungle, space, circus, whatever!
Check http://www.schoolgirlstyle.com/category/classroom-themes/ for that!
In our kids' classroom in Colón we have a whole wall decorated with jungle animals, that could be the theme...
These things should be in every classroom! You may make them as you like the most but they should be there! If you need help, here I am!
